Hello,

I don't understand what is exaclty the effect of the MagnoShield FLEX for a static magnet.
Is the load/distance curve is modified ?

for example, what will be the effect of the MagnoShield FLEX on this curve :

??

thank you.

BR,
HS

Do you understand the curve ?

You can see the force (in kg) of the magnet fonction of the distance (in mm) of the magnet.

--> Here, the force is 2,5kg if you place a metallic part at 3mm of the magnet.
--> What is the force, for the same metallic part, at hte same place (at 3mm) if a MagnoShield Flex sheet is placed at 2mm ?

Thanks.

In that case simply use the shielding factor shown in the data sheets and divide your values with it.
As long as the field is not highet then the satturation value (0,8T) it should work fine.

OK, so, for you, I will have a 70% decrease factor for the force, at a given distance.

(I'm right ?)

In fact, I would like to store magnet, whith a minimum of magnetic influence outside.

--> Other (last!) question : Is the magnoshield is magnetic or non-magnetic ??

thanks a lot for your answer(s)

BR,

HS.

Exactly.
The material is magnetic since its iron based.

Late comment to this topic but better than never: the usual way to store magnets and to minimize their filed is to create a magnetic loop with a set of soft iron bars "shorting out" a pair or two stacks of magnets.
The shielding fabric would easily saturate and let a big part of the field go through.
It can nevertheless be used to clad a box that stores the "shorted out" magnets so to take care of the remaining stray field.

Basic physics.
